The Firm has a very long-established
employment law practice which commenced with the
setting-up of the original Industrial Tribunals in 1971.
We offer expert advice and representation to employers
and employees in Employment Tribunal cases of all kinds,
including unfair dismissal, breach of contract,
discrimination, harassment, victimisation, redundancy,
equal pay and Transfer of Undertakings.
Our experience extends to the Employment Appeal Tribunal
and the Court of Appeal.
The Employment Department also deals with cases
involving breach of restrictive covenants, unlawful
competition and intellectual property disputes.
Our service also includes drafting and advising on
contracts of employment, company handbooks, policies,
and disciplinary and grievance procedures.
There is an ever-increasing use by employers of
Compromise Agreements which bring certainty to both
parties when an employment contract is terminated. We
have extensive experience in drafting these for
employers and advising employees on their effect.
